The Footpath Series: Offa's Dyke Path Zigzag 25: Newcastle-on-Clun to Oswestry Old Racecourse

Offa's Dyke is one of Britain's National Trails following the English/ Welsh border for 177 miles.  It is named after the Mercian King Offa who created an earthwork in the 8th Century to protect his kingdom.  The path starts at Sedbury Cliffs on the Severn and covers varied landscape from the beautiful Wye Valley to the Shropshire Hills and the Clwydian Range, finally ending at Prestatyn on the Irish Sea.

As their name suggests, Zigzag maps come in a concertina strip format.  The maps are made for convenience; you only need to unfold 2 panels at a time and then keep on flipping over to follow the path.  Zigzag is laminated for weatherproofing and will still fit in your pocket when folded.

This map covers the section of the Offa's Dyke between Newcastle-on-Clun and Oswestry Old Racecourse via Clan Forest, Vales of Montgomery, Buttington Bridge and Llanymynech.
