Walks With History: The Cambrian Way [ISBN: o-86381-605-3]

This book describes a 260 mile footpath starting in Cardiff, transversing all the mountain areas of Wales and ending up on the north coast at Conway. The route is neither an official, nor a way marked, long distance footpath, and full advantage has been taken of this to explore the richness of the Welsh countryside.

Although mainly visiting the wilder, upland areas of the Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks, the route also crosses welsh valleys, the rivers Dyfi and Mawddach and the 'waterfall country' of Hipste and Mellte valleys in southern Wales.  It also seeks out places of historical interest.

Though much is 'high level' it is largely accessible to careful walkers of all ages and abilities.
